What Can I Help You With?

If you are suffering from anxiety, the debilitating nature of an episode and the lack of warning can leave you powerless and frustrated. Anxiety is a common reason for therapy and I can help you whether you are suffering from a specific issue or a more generalised form of anxiety.

These are just some of the issues I can help with. Whatever you are struggling with, please get in touch for an informal chat, and I’ll be able to tell you if I can be of assistance.

Addiction comes in many forms and manifests in as many different ways as there are people, e.g. substance use, sex, food, shopping, pornography or going to the gym etc. There are many reasons why addictions continue unabated.  Psychotherapy can help you identify underlying causes and ongoing drivers of your addiction and help you on your road to change with counselling and psychotherapy in London.

Loss, Grief, and Bereavement

Grief is not an illness. If you have lost a loved one, it is only natural that you are hurting. Most of us are eventually able to recover, but this can be a complex process. if you cannot move on your feelings of shock, numbness or sadness, or perhaps you're feeling 'stuck', then there is nothing wrong with seeking a little support.

Eating Disorders

In today’s hyper-connected world, in which we are bombarded with projections of ‘perfection’, feelings of dissatisfaction have increased, as has our need to appear to be in control. This can sometimes impact on your body and mind in a number of negative ways, including in your relationship with food, to the extent that your life may be put at risk. This is a complex area and no two people are the same, so if you need assistance in understanding and changing an unhelpful relationship with food, psychotherapy may help.

Personality and Emotional difficulties

These often have their origins in early life experience, yet continue to impact on professional and personal relationships. Can you manage your emotions, or does it feel like your emotions manage you?  Do you often find yourself in conflict with others, especially those important to you?  Psychotherapy provides space and time to think about how the communication between us can help you address the roots of your internal conflicts in a productive way.

For Professionals

I also welcome enquiries from trainee psychotherapists and counsellors, social workers, teachers, and nurses, who may be stressed or struggling with the nature of their workload.
